Celebrating 70 years

Pen Panha, Cambodian listener

Seventy years is a long time in the life of a radio station. Several generations have come and gone, and the years have seen many changes. Radio Australia has not only witnessed all of those events, but this station has also dedicated itself to be one of the most important sources of trusted information.

For this long period of time with its realistic news coverage, Radio Australia has served its listeners a lot by both helping to contribute peace, stability, development and providing opportunity for specialists from all walks of life over the world to look into the future.

As the technology of listening is certainly changing, I am firmly convinced that Radio Australia will continue to find many more listeners in the future and will become the Voice of the Pacific as well as the bridge to link the Pacific to the rest of the globe.

Finally, I wish blessings on Radio Australia and the staff for years to come.
