And we meet two of the women behind A is for Aunty and Z is for Zigni – an alphabet book of of stories written by a group of refugee and migrant women from the horn of Africa, who now live in Flemington – an inner suburb of Melbourne.

This week on the Bite, it’s been called a greenslide – the largest vote for the Greens in Australia’s electoral history. But with the Greens not only winning their first lower house seat, but also soon to hold the balance of power in the Senate, Irene Scott talkes a look at the opportunities and possible pitfalls they’ll face. And this week on the bite we drop in on the NAIDOC flag raising ceremony at Nambour on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. We also look at how this week’s decision by the Fair Wage Commission to not to increase the minimum wage, will impact upon Australia’s lowest paid workers. And Australian writer and conservationist Sally Henderson, talks about her new memoir, “Ivory Moon” set in a remote desert camp on Namibia’s Skeleton Coast.
