Preliminary talks have begun between the EU and Chinese officials over the possibility of China supporting the Eurozone’s massive bail out fund.

Its just one day after European leaders achieved a breakthrough to prevent a snowballing debt crisis.

Klaus Regling, the head of the fund, called the European Financial Stability Facility, has been in Beijing but says his consultations have been regular and in the early stages.

There have been conflicting reports in Chinese and international media about whether China has agreed to contribute.

China has welcomed the rescue plan which has prevented a Greek default.
