Kyrgyzstan’s has a new president elect, its prime minister Almazbek Atambayev.

Mr Atambayev won an outright majority of over 63 percent of the votes.

But with massive challenges ahead, there’s now interest to see if Mr Atambayev will successfully lead Kyrgyztan down the road to democracy.
