Opposition parties in Singapore expecting swing against government

In Singapore, parliament has been dissolved and the campaigning is underway for the May 7th election. Singapore’s ruling People’s Action Party has held power since 1959 and it appears that although the party will probably be returned, opposition groups are polling better than they have for many years.
Dr. James Gomez is a member of the Singapore Democratic Party and the Executive Director of Singaporeans for Democracy. He told Phil Kafcaloudes that there’s a groundswell against the ruling party.
