A Fijian man due to be deported from Australia tomorrow [Thursday Dec 1, 2:00pm] says he fears being mistreated by the military when he arrives home.
Inoke Qarau is in the immigration detention centre at Villawood in Sydney, where he says he was on hunger strike for a while to protest against being sent back to Fiji.
He believes he’s in danger because he spoke out publicly in Australia about how he and several others were physically mistreated by the army in the aftermath of the 2006 military coup.
Mr Qarau tells Bruce Hill he believes the Fiji military will be waiting for him when he gets off the plane.
Presenter: Bruce Hill
