Meteorologists say global temperatures this year reached the highest ever with La Nina despite its relatively cooling influence.

The World Meteorological Organisation has released a report during the first day of UN talks on Climate Change in Durban.

The study says this year’s global temperatures were currently the tenth highest on record.

It says the global climate was heavily influenced by the strong La Nina which developed in the tropical Pacific in the second half of last year and continued until May this year.

I asked the Scientific Coordinator of the Global climate statement from the Bureau of Meteorology of Australia, Blair Trewin about the report’s findings.
