Samoa has just moved across the international dateline.

At midnight it was Thursday, and an instant later it was 12.01am on Saturday, with the central Pacific nation and nearby Tokelau missing out on Friday altogether.

Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepe Sailele says there will be major benefits for Samoa cultural and business life, but especially for tourism the main stay of the economy.

When Samoa switched driving sides of the road there were mass protests… so what has been the reaction to the change in the time zone?
