As the clean-up begins in those flood-affected towns through QLD & NSW, farming communities are assessing the impact the vast amounts of water have had on their crops.

In particular the flooding in northern New South Wales and southern Queensland has happened in heart of Australia’s lucrative cotton growing area.

Australia is one of the biggest cotton exporters in the world, and nearly all Australian cotton is exported to Asia.

Tracee Hutchison spoke to Adam Kay, chief executive of Industry services group Cotton Australia.
