There’s been growing outrage around the world at both reports of new killings by the regime of Syrian President Bashar al Assad, and also at China and Russia, who have blocked a UN Security Council resolution condemning Syria.

US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, says she will work to increase sanctions on Syria and to toughen up sanctions already in place, saying that efforts will be redoubled to support “the Syrian people’s right to have a better future”.

Meanwhile in Syria itself, there are reports of renewed fighting in Homs, where government forces are said to have killed more than 200 people two days ago.
