Around the world, Chinese, Vietnamese and South Korean communities are celebrating the auspicious Lunar New Year of the Dragon. But in Laos, the Year of the Snake has already arrived.
For elders in the country, weddings or any new ventures are avoided for fear of inviting a curse. But there are ways of getting around unlucky days within the calendar.
