Pacific Islands art exhibition “Maketi Ples” opens in Sydney

Maketi Ples ( market place) is an annual exhibition organised by the Pacific Islands Trade and Investment  Commission at the Global Gallery in Sydney.  It showcases the diversity and creativity of Pacific communities.The event provides opportunities for Pacific Islands based artists and artisans to get exposure and to sale their works in Australia. Charcoal drawings by visual artist Yvonne Neth from the Federated States of Micronesia were an instant success!
