Papua New Guinea’s deputy prime minister, Belden Namah, is blaming former prime minister Sir Michael Somare for the mutiny.

Speaking earlier at a press conference in Port Moresby, he called on the leader of the mutiny, Yaura Sasa, to give himself up.

Mr Namah warns that the former Colonel’s actions amount to treason, which carries the death penalty.
