Telling stories in the sand

Australia’s indigenous people have a strong tradition of oral story telling, but there’s another type of storytelling tradition that is not so well known.
“Sand stories” are a storytelling technique used in some Aboriginal cultures, incorporating images and performance with symbols drawn in the sand.
Dr Jennifer Green has been researching sand stories in parts of the Central Australian desert.
