Thai army readies for offensive [Nicolas Asfouri, AFP]
We’re in Fiji and Thailand this week looking at media censorship, internet snooping and the dangers of blogging during political unrest. Radio Australia’s Pacific Correspondent Campbell Cooney joins us to talk about the shutting down of Socia Central, Fiji’s most popular social network site. And I spoke with Bangkok Pundit about online coverage of the recent demonstrations in Thailand.
We also take a look at the technology used in the Indonesian and Indian elections with Tito Ambyo and how the move from digital tape to hard-drives in camcorders could have implications for your data backup plan… what’s that, you don’t have one? Luckily Danny Gorog has the lowdown on some good online solutions. Finally Bajo joins us from Good Game on ABC TV with his thoughts on the most dastardly difficult videogames of all time.
For more news from Fiji and Thailand go to radioaustralianews.net.au
The online backup solutions suggested by Danny Gorog are Dropbox and Backblaze.
And the results of a recent poll on the hardest games of all time came from Game Daily but was also covered on Kotaku where there is also some discussion on the topic. You can also play an in-browser java version of the original Zork text adventure game at http://www.xs4all.nl/~pot/infocom/zork1.html (link will open in new window).
